Fantastic sea fishing

Løvøen Gård offers you quality boat- and shore fishing

Catch your personal best

Løvøen Gård is situated on the island Lauvøya, which is a part of the Vikna archipelago. Both sheltered fjord fishing in the Nærøysund and open sea fishing is possible within short distances from the camp. No matter if you want to fish the deep sea for ling and redfish, target a big halibut or just fish with light tackle for pollack and cod...Everybody will find their favorite spot here. Our main boat season lasts from April-October, but also fishing in early spring can be very rewarding. The list of the species, which you can catch in this area is endless: Cod, coalfish, pollack, halibut, ling, redfish, haddock, whiting, anglerfish, flatfish, mackerel, herring, seatrout...Just ask us for your target species and we can help you out with the planning of your trip.

The shore fishing is almost undiscovered in this area, but in a few short sessions we had we were able to catch some very good fish, including a halibut of 60 + lbs! In early February many cod are migrating closer to the shore and into Nærøysundet. Sometimes even Skrei cod (big spawning cod) find their way into these waters. Very interesting times for the shore angler as the good fishing lasts till the end of May. September-November are very good months as well for any kind of species. We provide tripods, seatboxes, baitboxes, landing nets, gaffs, frozen baits etc. Just send us an E-Mail and ask us for a quote, if you are interested in trying the shore fishing here.
